What You Will Do:

• Design, build, and maintain custom Shopify apps (both public and private) using Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL) and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, or Vue.
• Develop scalable backend systems using Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python to support Shopify app functionalities.
• Integrate third-party APIs, webhooks, and services to extend Shopify app capabilities.
• Manage authentication flows, including OAuth 2.0, and implement Shopify App Bridge for embedded apps.
• Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure apps comply with Shopify App Store requirements and security best practices.
• Collaborate closely with other team members.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify development standards, tools, and best practices.
   

What You Will Need:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
• 2–3 years of experience in web application development, with at least 1 years dedicated to Shopify app/plugin development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, OAuth, Shopify CLI, Liquid, and backend programming.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Firebase, or similar for app deployment.
• Database proficiency with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with e-commerce architecture, payment gateway integration, and Shopify checkout customization.
• Excellent debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience launching at least one Shopify public app is a strong plus.
